Hydraulic Site Engineer

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who is ready to start an exciting career within the engineering industry.


The successful applicant will be part of an expert team that travels to different sites within the UK, where you will change, make up and re-fit hoses on rail track vehicles.


The ideal candidate will:


  • Have fitting experience (1+ years)

  • Be willing to learn about the use of our product and be trained adequately.

  • Be flexible to stay away from home on a regular basis

  • Have a full driving licence.

  • Be able to work to a deadline.

  • Be able to liaise with customers and team members.

  • Have excellent time management and organisation skills.

  • Be able to put their problem-solving skills to the test.

  • Demonstrate a flexible “can do” attitude.

  • Have an eye for detail.

  • Be IT literate.


Duties and Responsibilities include:


  • Providing scheduled and emergency service to clients.

  • Preparing written documentation of all activities including all measurements that define inspection and tests.

  • Adherence to safe working requirements at all times and site Health & Safety conditions.

  • Updating our software with hose system changes remotely.

  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

External Sales Engineer

We are seeking an experienced sales representative to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be required to cover the Midlands.



The following attributes are required for the role of Sales Representative:


  • A proven track record in sales and show significant sales growth in a previous sales role.

  • Have a proven record of working to and exceeding sales targets.

  • Demonstrate the ability to overcome customer objections and reintroduce lapsed accounts.

  • Have experience of selling at all levels, from Fitter to Director.

  • Have strong time management skills with the ability to forward plan and make appointments.

  • Be self motivated, with a strong work ethic and enthusiastic.

  • Have technical sales experience ideally within the hydraulic and pneumatic industry.



Main Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


  • Daily calls to potential new clients and existing list of clients to build a pipeline of prospective business

  • Maintain CRM database. Updating information on new and existing clients tracking, recording and storing customer information on customers.

  • Identify and obtain new business including New Accounts, local customers and large product supply opportunities.

  • Comply with all reporting requirements on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

  • Attend all scheduled sales meetings and participate where necessary.

  • Coordinate and oversee in Area Sales Focus activities

  • Raise the profile and awareness of the Brand.

  • Maintain all customer visit reports into CRM system

  • Actively share ideas and information for the benefit of the company



Person Specification:


  • Must be motivated, positive and focused on providing a reliable and consistent service at all times.

  • The ideal candidate will be organised, thorough and an excellent time manager.

  • Training will be provided and the candidate should be willing to embrace new opportunities for development.

  • The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent customer facing manner.

  • Computer literate

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Experience within the Hydraulic/Pneumatic Sector ideally, however previous sales experience is essential

  • A full clean UK Driving Licence is required
